CrossCountry trains have long supported students by offering a discount against their cheapest Advance fares, and to celebrate the first term back at university, the leading train company are running a two-week sale offering NUS extra card holders an incredible 25% discount.
Students who have an NUS extra card can take advantage of this exclusive saving in exactly the same way as the existing 10% discount. There are no pin codes or vouchers, or even registration-just enter your NUS extra card number and email address on CrossCountry’s dedicated NUS website and the discount will automatically be applied to all valid tickets.
The 25% sale is available in conjunction with Railcards, meaning students can use their 16-25 Railcard to get one third off the CrossCountry Advance ticket price in addition to the extra 25% off. The discount is only available against CrossCountry’s cheapest Advance fares so the potential savings will be huge!
Clare Shufflebotham, Partnership Manager at CrossCountry said:
“We are so excited to be able to extend our discount to 25% for the sale period. This will make it even more affordable for students to travel with us over the reading week and Christmas breaks. We are dedicated to ensuring train travel is an attractive option for our NUS customers and we hope the message about the discount will spread via social media, ensuring as many students as possible hear about the great news!”
CrossCountry run to 121 stations – covering more of Britain than any other train operator.
*This discount applies to CrossCountry and Grand Central Advance train fares from 8 – 22 of November via crosscountrytrains.co.uk/nus
