Nottingham Students – What to do in April

It’s easy to forget your student union at university but they are always working hard to bring you the best deals available. In Nottingham, the Nottingham Trent Student Union has provided a cracking line up for this month. Here is a roundup of what you could be doing instead of watching bad telly:

Harry Potter Studio Tour – 14^th April

You’ve all read the books, or at least seen the film. Now is your chance to take a peek behind the cameras and immerse yourself in the magic of the world famous films. You’ll see the sets, the costumes and the props that Daniel Radcliffe and co. used to bring JK Rowling’s captivating series to life. Highlights include: the Great Hall, Dumbledore’s office and Diagon Alley. The trip includes return transportation to London and entry to the tour.

York & York Dungeon – 21^st April

This city is famous for being picturesque and you can visit it for a day of sightseeing and a bit of a history lesson. The dungeon tour is 70 minutes long and covers 2000 years of York’s gruesome past. The theatrical presentation helps bring it to life and involves all of your senses – you’ll find it equally horrifying and hilarious. The infamous Guy Fawkes and Dick Turpin make appearances on the tour to complete the immersive experience. If above ground is your thing, the price includes a CitySightseeing red bus tour, with unlimited use of the transport service – go explore the museums and uncover history at your own pace.

Thorpe Park – 27^th April

Remember that episode of The Inbetweeners? Hopefully, your experience will be less cringe-worthy than Simon, Jay, Will and Neil’s. You’ll have return travel on a comfy coach instead of a yellow Fiat Cienquento for a start. A day for fun-loving thrill seekers, experience the 10^th most visited theme park in Europe for a bargain price. Ride highlights include: Nemesis Inferno, SAW Alive and Tidal Wave.

Bungee Jumping – 21^st April

Ever wanted to jump of a 160ft bridge? Yeah? Thought so. If roller coasters are too tame for your liking, then this trip to Middlesbrough will be just your thing. It’s the highest jump spot in the UK and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face however far behind you are with your essays.
